About this Position
As a Senior Master Data Specialist, you will play a vital role in the accuracy and integrity of our material master data, which is essential for our operations and decision-making processes. Your expertise will ensure that local material data is created and maintained promptly and accurately, directly supporting our supply chain efficiency and operational excellence. Joining a collaborative and dynamic team, you will report to the Team Lead and work closely with colleagues to manage and enhance our master data processes. This role presents both unique challenges—such as navigating complex data harmonization tasks—and opportunities for innovation as you drive improvements in data management practices. By generating insightful reports and ensuring compliance with established procedures, you will contribute significantly to our projects and the overarching goals of the company. Together, we aim to foster a culture of accuracy and efficiency, enabling us to meet the demands of our business effectively.
What you´ll do
- Ensure the accurate and timely creation and updates of local material master data views in P92/P93, covering various aspects such as Plant, Sales, Material Resource Planning (MRP), and Sales Organization
- Manage the creation and update of packaging material master data, including Packaging Bill of Materials, unit of measure, and article report generation, while overseeing material deletions and reactivations
- Maintain P03 Material International Data Harmonization (IDH) records by validating Article Request Forms and ensuring timely processing of requests
- Coordinate efforts to gather necessary information for maintaining master data in SAP, addressing queries, monitoring workflows, and communicating updates on activated materials
- Responsible for generating master data downloads, reports and executing master data clean up needed by the business
- Supports Team Lead with providing training to new hires, team members and key users, with accomplishing administrative tasks (KPI report, etc.)
- Initiates and contributes to process improvement. Involved in project execution either as a project lead or project member along with additional tasks assigned by the Team Lead or Manager
What makes you a good fit
- Bachelor's Degree in any field
- At least three (3) years related work experience in Material Master Data Management from a shared service industry
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required; SAP MM (Materials Management) experience is highly preferred
- Preferably with background in Continuous Improvement (e.g. Lean Six Sigma or Time and Motion Studies), Project Management, and in any of the following digital skills (VBA Macros, SAP scripting, Power BI, Blue Prism)
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English; Must be a team player with good skills in time management, analysis, and had great attention to details
- Amenable to work on a day shift schedule (1:00 PM to 10:00 PM), and report on a hybrid work set-up in Ayala Avenue, Makati
