What we offer

  • The Sales Engineer is responsible for sales across 16 counties within Ireland
  • Becoming an expert on Henkel’s AG adhesive range for auto repair, factory maintenance & production
  • Visiting customer sites to demonstrate products and solutions and generate sales.
  • The candidate will have full autonomy over their own diary, so they must be self-motivated with good planning skills
  • Becoming the trusted source and advisor for our customers, and one who drives the technical interactions and builds long term relationships with our customers and internal teams
  • Playing an important role in promoting and recognizing upsell opportunities in collaboration with other Engineers and Sales teams within Henkel and throughout our distribution base.
  • Working alongside internal departments, responsible for ensuring the continuous successful operation and delivery sales targets & goals
  • A high degree of flexibility is required in this position, as travelling at short notice is required.

Who we are looking for:

  • Vocational qualification in mechanical or engineering disciplines or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience working in large global organization
  • Experienced in the use of Microsoft packages as well as Apple Apps and devices.
  • Customer facing experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (essential)
  • Flexible, initiative, with the ability to multitask (essential)
  • Able to work independently or in a team (essential)
  • Meet timeline with full commitment to quality and safety (essential)
  • Able to plan and manage their own diary (essential)
  • Flexible to travel and stay away regularly. (essential)
  • Experience reading and understanding technical reports; (desired)
  • Familiarity with basic engineering terms.
  • Able to take direction and consult with colleagues where appropriate.
  • High degree of flexibility as travel is required and often at short notice
  • Full Valid driving license required
